I have a 3rd gen 2017 TRD PRO. There is a rattle that is absolutely driving me bonkers. Ive had it in a couple of time and finally they replaced the entire control mechanism. It resolved the issue for a month or two but it came back. It only happens when I am playing music and hits a certain decibel. Its one of those things that that probably would not have bothered me in my last taco but this is pretty annoying. Has anyone else had this issue and a fix for it please? I am sick of going to the dealership.

Not sure if my problem is related but when im driving on bumpy roads and with the window down, I can hear the window rattle in the door. So I rolled up the window and it muffled it a little bit but can still hear a little rattle. Im not going to go to the dealer just so they can tell me im crazy and im hearing things. I just live with it.

I have something similar happening in my 2018. If I put my knee against the door panel, or rest my hand on the window controls it stops. Still annoying though for a new truck. I recently popped the window controls panel off (super easy with a panel removal tool), looked inside but didn't see much to blame the issue on. There's some plastic near the door panel that could be causing it. Or it's the window control panel vibrating against the rest of the door panel. Either way, not worth going to the dealership, I'll figure something out on my own. Stuff some pads or insulation in there and call it good.

Had same problem. Popped door control panel and put friction tape between panel and door card ... solved.

Tried this already. Seems to be coming from the buttons.

I stuffed some rags in the door panel under the buttons and it stopped for me, tacky fix but a fix nonetheless.

Think it's finally fixed. Called Toyota to open a ticket and brought it back I'm. More felt added and voila

Looks good. Researching lifts just thought I'd check.

    Oahu, Hi
The black piece of plastic that was in the door handle latch rattled, took me awhile to figure it out. Put double sided tape and it was fixed.
