This was about a year or so ago. While I haven't read or followed the investigation, the Army charged a dude from the local Cav squadron in this event.

The only time a cav guy could fuck with a platform is while rigging, guarding, or on the push/pull detail. He doesn't have anything to do with attaching it to the aircraft or the JI process. For anyone familiar with rigging heavies, it is pretty easy to imagine way to get the load to fall off the platform once it exits.

The Army drops thousands of pieces of heavy equipment each year. While partial malfunctions such as this and items completely burning in are not unusual, three like items falling off a platform is either complete negligence from the riggers(not too likely with an easy load like an HMMWV) or someone fucking with things on purpose(more likely).

Not sure if anyone was still into these things but I saw them on base all the time. Full on SF only vehicles like the dune buggies the ranger batt had back in the day. Had a friend drive one and he said the thing was sweet especially since the driver is seated in the middle. Literally 3 points to mount an LMG. Amazing suspension as well. Definitely a need in the afghan waste land.

Not a Humvee, this vehicle has a different purpose than a Humvee altogether. Looks quick, light, and maneuverable.

Just spent a week evaluating/learning about the newest iteration of this in UT. Very capable vehicle. You need pics, I know....

Oh snap... glad to see Brandon got those fielded... he did the SOA conversion on my YJ about 10 years ago as he was stating to build these rigs in his shop in Clearfield. The prototypes looked awesome then. Did great work on my YJ too, in fact it was on that same lift as the rig in the photos. Dude knows how to build an off-road vehicle.

Forgot all about it until I saw the SXOR sticker on one of the pictures.

If it's for the Air Force it's for easy maneuverability to and from the DFAC

Which is precisely why I had to get into northern Iraq BEFORE any Grunt in 2003. So that I could set-up the DFAC for them. LOL.

I'm surprised they put AT tires on them vs the traditional MT's.
