2nd Gen Tweeters? - Stock NON-JBL head unit

I'm by no means an audiophile and was content with the stock tweeters until the one in the drivers side door has finally decided to bite the dust. I'm guilty of turning the volume up all the way when I'm driving with the windows down, so I probably killed it and now it's making some absolutely horrible sounds if I get above 25% volume now.

I see the Subaru tweeters are a drop in for 3rd gens, but everything I've read say they don't work on the 2nd gen. I REALLY don't want to waste a ton of time modifying brackets or doing anything shady.

What's a decently priced slight upgrade over the stock tweeters that will drop right in?
