Not for that price, you can get around mounting things without them

So dumb question here but I’ve been scouring for an hour and still haven’t found my answer...what are the dimensions of the top rack? How wide are the cross bars?

Neither Prinsu nor CBI website list assembled dimensions, only shipping dimensions, and haven’t been able to find it stated in the prior top rack/rtt/shell conversations linked in the top menu of this thread. Also, I can tell from this thread that Zach has been super responsive to feedback and really evolved his products over the years, so am thinking dimensions today may not be the exact same to 2014...

FYI, have a Snugtop rebel with factory Yakima tracks mounted on my 2017 shortbed that I’m trying to determine what solution to go with.

Thanks, that's really all I was trying to figure out.

I have a 42" plano case incoming and will be putting my recovery gear in there so I'm not digging through the back seats if I need that stuff.

    Much obliged, sir!

Yeah, I used a hack saw and just cut them. I don't care if the stripping looks perfect.

I was in traffic on the freeway yesterday and a dude in a Tundra next to me was waving at me pointing to my roof and I rolled down the window because I wasn't sure if shit was falling apart or what.

"WHAT KIND OF RACK IS THAT???"
    "PRINSU!"
    "WHAT!?!"
    "PRINSU; P-R-I-N-S-U!"
    "THANKS BRO!"

...and I drove off because traffic had started moving again.

Never posted pics of my rack, it’s been mounted, with light bar and just put my Plano and hi-lift on :D

How are you guys locking down your jack if it’s mounted up top?

Nice. I am going to do the same case in the same spot pretty soon.
Question for you since we live in the same area: Are you planning on leaving that up there 24/7 out here in the heat? Are you worried about the stuff inside because I wasn't planning on leaving mine on full time, just when I go wheeling/camping with my recovery gear and some other emergency stuff in there.

Also, I don't have pics but I just put up a set of quik fist mounts along the side for my spare axe which was really easy. Used 1/4" hardware (carriage bolt, 1" wide washer plus lock washer against the nut) and it's pretty secure. I left the mounts up but the axe is at home. I have a hatchet and e-tool under the back seat all the time but figure that's good enough for now in case I need to create and then dispose of a body in a pinch.

For the stuff like the hi-lift, wouldn't a cable lock (like bike lock) suffice if you're going to leave it up all the time?

Great question, as far as the heat I was wondering about that, it is all weather tactical so I would assume it could withstand the heat but everything tends to melt here sooner or later in 120 degrees lol. I haven’t decided yet, I just used 4 bolts to put it on with metal n rubber washers plus wing nut so it wouldn’t be too bad to remove.

My concern was if it’ll add too much drag and reduce my mpg , I do about 70 mile round trip daily for work and idk if the rack already reducing it 1-2 or not, now a big square box up there when I won’t need it until weekends/trips....I do like the look of it up there tho haha but I think I will end up taking it down at least until I’m doing something like every weekend or every other.

The jack will stay up and yeah I was thinking just a chain, lock or yeah a bike lock would work great!

Honestly man, I wouldn't keep it up there 24/7 unless you REALLY think you'll need what your carrying. It's definitely going to add drag but how much is tough to say.

This weekend I'm going to add tie down points and probably put the other set of quik fists I've got up there for... Something? Not sure exactly! I already have a full sized shovel and another crappy axe on the bedrail in the rear (I've got a softtopper) so we'll see. The great part about this rack system is all the stuff can be modular and non-permanent.

I wouldn’t run gear unless I was due for a trip. Just stuff that attracts more thieves and prone to being knocked off and onto the hwy, especially a heavy hi lift. I try to keep the heavy stuff down low if possible

You are in luck, you have a WestMarine near you in Pheonix . Go there buy about 1’ to 2’ of stainless steel 1/8” or 3/16” aircraft cable and aluminum crimp ferrels. Form a loop at each end large enough for a small padlock but small enough to pass through the holes on the high lift and use ferrel to crimp together. WestMarine has cutting and crimp tool set up on bench so you can make this before you leave the store. Make sure the cut end of cable is kept inside the crimp ferrel or you’ll be cursing every time you grab the end. Suggest you make a dummy piece with piece of string to figure out how much cable to buy

Loop cable through high lift and around one of the Prinsu bars and padlock in place. Then use a strip of Velcro to hold padlock to Prinsu bar so it doesn’t chip the paint off your roof.
