You're correct, thought about splicing but wasn't sure it would work so went connector route so I could take apart easy. But now that I know it works, I would have spliced in dash.

Out of stock items do not show up unless you select the option to view them. As previously mentioned, they are out of stock at the moment, and when Meso updates us, stay on the lookout for it.

Maybe I'm missing something too. @mesojdm was there a separate page for the stage one and two DIY mods? Also, any idea on time frame for next batch?

I listed the DIY kits on the SAME page as the knobs. This was confusing to some customers(they received the DIY kit thinking they were getting the entire knob) so I making them on their own page.

    Welcome to the Forum!

Also the reason ra29dreams and Myself got a Stage 2 Shift Knob DIY kit is Stew (Mesocustoms) just released 50 of each stage this past Saturday and it all went in 12 minutes. Signing up for the email alerts may help, but most of the time, they would be all sold out before you even get on the website to see it. For instance, the Turn as Tail lights mod that went on sale yesterday, was all gone in like 45seconds. I think it was 50 of stage 1 and 40 of stage 2, If i remember correctly. If you are on the forums religiously, you may have a chance at getting what you want. Just read the posts of when they will be released and be available when they hit. BTW, The V4 mirror turn signals are going up for sale tomorrow if you wanted to try and snag a pair of those. After that purchase experience, you will understand what I am talking about. Good Luck!

Im on pretty much every day i did sign up for the email alerts but if they sell that fast it probably doesn’t matter. I just have to be more vigilant thanks for the help

Switch dropped right in and works great. When you decide to do a black set, I'll be even happier. Great product, thanks.

Of course my wife would come out and ask what I'm doing when I have the inside all tore apart. LOL Yes of course she said "Do you even know what your doing." Me: @MESO said it was easy and i would figure it out lol. Thanks MESO for giving my wife a heart attack and me another nice mod.

Yes he does. It doesn't even look like a mod just something that came from the factory.

So if I have a chamberlain opener its a 8500w all I would need is something like this ?

    https://www.amazon.com/SMAKN®-Conve...+3v+converter&qid=1554420710&s=gateway&sr=8-6

I assume I would just solder the output to the remote and supply 12v to the other side ?

That's the best part. If you notice, most of his mods are that way. Only a tacoma enthusiast will ever notice.

My wife is used to seeing my truck in pieces. As long as its not her Lexus, she dont care anymore. She just asks “what the heck are you doing now!”

Actually its more like “You spending more money on your money pit.”

I spent more money on mods for my Taco then i sold my old Frontier for and it still looks stock, i think my wife regrets saying i can go “look” at the Tacoma.....(also means buy)

So just got my trd pro shifter and had to watch the Video on how to open it up its on page 27 here. With a couple of small picks it was simple and painless to do. I would not recommenced using anything over about 1/8" dia.

As the glue pops loose it does make a sound like busting plastic and defiantly gave me that oh crap there went 90 bucks. But following the Vid made it simple and the install was very straight forward. Not sure when I will get a chance to install it in the truck but its ready to rock and roll.
