    Hi all together

Andreas is my name, I'm from Hamburg, owing a Tacoma since 1998. Bought the car in Iceland new and with some modifications, using it there for the last 20 years during summervacation.

Hope to find useful tips here for repairing the Tacoma. It's hard to find spareparts for a Tacoma here in Germany, as this model has never been sold offical in Europe.

    best regards

Welcome to the club. I really like the wheels and wide look.

What type of hood deflector are you using? I like it.

I just bought a 99 model this week.

Andreas - please tell us what you know about your side extensions.
If I assume the truck would never pass inspection if tires extend uncovered past fenders & is reason for the flares, would that be correct?
I like that the running board "connects" the flares for a unified look.
Do you know any information about the flares or were they present when you bought the truck new?
    BTW, love the color.
    Thanks.

My friend in Iceland I bought the car from told me last year, as the the front fenders needed to be replaced, that the extensions came from Australia, together with some other equipment they needed to do the modifications on the Tacoma ( differential with air pressure lock for example ). The extensions are made from some kind of plastic and were coated in the same color as the car before they were added on.
I had much trouble when trying to register the car here in Germany for the first time ( not only because of the extensions ... ). Also the bigger tires were covered by the extensions, the front tires were ( and still are ) uncovered at both sides of the original front bumper. Had to attach some rubber mats to cover this area to pass the first inspection, but removed them afterwards. Since then the guys at the technical inspection never asked me again to cover the front tires totally. Why it's good to have the front tires also covered at both sides of the front bumper you realize when driving fast through heavy rain and much water on the roads. The tires "shovel" the water straight to the windshield ...
