Who makes this bumper? I am not usually a fan of aftermarket bumpers, but this looks really good

Nothing so far, but haven't made any additional purchases for mine just yet.

I did have a moment of regret after buying the truck though, thinking the last owner just slapped some TRDOR stickers on it and the dealership might have jacked price up or lied to me. I was really only wanting an SR5 2wd (nothing more needed, no offroading here) so anything more was extra, come to find out it really is a TRDOR 2wd and I should've done research instead of stressing. Moment passed, I'm happy, though those stickers are coming off most likely....do they work like boosts in mario kart? If I tap the stickers do I get a few seconds of 4x4 fun?

I'm sure there will be a few future regrets, mostly because I'll look at the bank account and wonder where all my money went.

No regrets per se, but if I were doing it over again, I would’ve bought the SR5 6MT and upgraded suspension, added front and rear e-lockers, and stereo. I think I would’ve been very close in price and id have a more capable truck Offroad. Im not a fan of all of the electronic traction, ATRAC etc.

My XD HID kit. Initially the driver's side would intermittently work and the passenger side was fine. Then one bulb would ignite and the other wouldn't about half the time and now the driver's side bulb works about 90% of the time but the passenger side only works about once every 3 days. The install is clean and flawless. They are trying to make it right, and I have every reason to believe they will (excellent customer service), but this 4300 Phillips kit has been a disaster. The stock H11 junk is back in there for now.

That reminds me of another regret. I bought the LED interior bulbs and they’ve sucked pretty bad. Anybody know who sells good ones?

@hookembevo I have the MESO dome light and map lights. If you can catch them in stock you won't be disappointed.

The reason this happens is because you’re most likely keeping the light switch on Auto. HIDs don’t work well when they are turned on without a full 12.6 volts. When the vehicle is started, the voltage fluctuates which causes the incorrect current to run through the HIDs when they are turning on. Because of this, the bulb and ballast get damaged faster than they should.
The only fix, (after you replace them) is keep the light switch in the off position when starting the car, when the vehicle is on and running, then turn the headlights on. Should last longer without issues.

Yeah that rubberized stuff will destroy your truck faster than not having any protection under there. If it hasn’t been too long, remove it as fast as you can

I've tried that, but it hasn't made a difference, and even turning everything off for a little bit and then back on hasn't worked. Doesn't seem to matter what position the switch is in when starting the truck, I end up with the same behavior. Perhaps the damage was already done. Thank you for the information!

No no, your HIDs are already fucked. I mean if you got new replacements. Doing that from the start will keep them working for a while. If you are having the one light coming on some times or not coming on other times issue, then those lights and ballast are already done. Need to replace. I went through all of this stuff with HIDs for years.

I'm saying there's nothing wrong with not having kids, in my opinion, either option is great, you can't miss what you never had!

I regret not having typed this^^^

4Runners are OK, Rams, Raptors, Jeeps are cool etc......but the owners are such a dreary yawn. Buncha nerds going on about torque and boxed frames. Tacoma peeps know how to say ‘fuck it’ and party. That’s why the dweebs lurk this forum.

Gotta disagree about the 4Runner. It’s LEAPS AND BOUNDS beyond the Taco. For the same price it’s just simply perfect in so many aspects. I currently have both so I’m not being biased
