So I’m currently installing D2S 5.0 on my truck. I’m buttoning everything up but I seem to be having some intermentant issues with my lights. When I hook them up they work. Flash the high beams multiple times and if works. But if I cut my lights off and back on they don’t work. I flash the high beams and you can hear the shield working but no lights. If I let them sit for 10 seconds then they will work again. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? I’m new to this and mildly panicking. Retrofit source is closed today so I’m leaning on you guys. I apologize if this has been covered before somewhere. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Update: thought I had it fixed. Apparently not. It is doing the same thing. When I pull the ignitor and rotate it, it will work for a few minutes then go back out.

Now I’m having issues with the high beams not wanting to work. And when I cut the lights off the passenger side cuts off about 1 second later than the driver. Also, the passenger side is brighter than the drivers side. Pics for reference80FBCFEC-F370-4483-934C-0024D236AA9F.jpg1C24B8FE-3876-4844-94E2-A59E36786DFF.jpg

Try switching bulbs and see if it carries to the drivers side. Could be an unaligned bulb. The passenger side is always going to be a little brighter just because of the overlay but that hot spot is a little low and off center on the passenger side. The driver side doesn't even have a hot spot so that bulb isn't sitting right either.
