    True story. My uncle found an entire human skeleton in a cave. It was obviously an ancient relic so he didn't call the police. He kept it in a box at his welding shop for years. Then somebody he showed it to reported him. They took it away and put it in a museum in Santa Fe. With a "Donated by my uncles name" card.
