Bought a TRD Offroad model with a 5' bed yesterday and im in the market for a tonneau cover. Any suggestions based on my requirements?:

    1. Inexpensive
    2. Lockable
    3. Easily removable

I had an Ares on my 2006 TRD Sport and while it was lockable, it fell far short of the other two requirements.

    Thanks for the tips,

    Fred

I have a Bakflip MX4 for sale for your truck. I’m asking $700 (new price). They still retail over $900. Mine was used for 4 months. You can PM me if you’d like

Get a cheap roll up like Tyger (which I have and love) or North Mountain. Sub-$200, lockable using tailgate lock, and rolls up so easily, and out of the way, you don’t need to remove it. But 4 clamps/bolts if you do. Yes, it can be cut open, but a lockable hard tonneau can be popped open with a tool also, so really just as secure.

My Tyger roll up is showing up tomorrow. I’m pretty damn excited. I look at the Tyger as being a deterrent, just as a Jeep soft top is. I know that I can probably go to Walmart then make a pit stop at Costco and a Steakhouse afterward with no worry about the crap being taken out of my bed. However, I wouldn’t leave the stuff in the back overnight.
