Has anyone swapped seats for leathers ones?

Has anyone swapped seats for leathers ones? or is that too costly. I would like to have leather seats in my beautiful Taco 2012 but the only option is getting seat covers! I maybe could check a junk yard for leather taco seats? I got the outside done to how I want it other than plastidip the grille(also let me know if thats a bad idea) and doing the same to the emblems. Main focus I need help with interior leathers seat hopefully OEM but I am not trying to spend thousands! let me know !

I think a lot of the guys here use Clazzio for leather covers

 

I met up with a fellow TW member he had some pretty bad ass Leather seat covers he said he paid $500 for the set. they were very clean. i could hardly tell they were covers.

 

Clazzio Brand?

 

Seem like most do clazzio covers or katzkin replacements

iirc, the only 2nd gen that came with leather were the limited models

Leather didn’t start coming in Tacoma’s till the 3rd gens. Clazzios and Katskiz are your only options

 

I got a set of Clazzio leather seat covers for my 2009. I love them. they were well made and my wife is thrilled with the interior now - much better than beat up cloth seats. You can get the kit for about $400 with the deals they regularly offer. these are more like a factory upholstery install than "covers" you would get at Pep boys. Very nicely done product.

I have Corbeau bucket leather seats on mine and yes they adjust lol

Not true. My previous truck was a '07 with leather seats. Was a TX edition. Maybe that was the difference. I bought it used. Dunno, but I know they were not covers.

 

I went Katzkin and also installed their Degreez system to have heated and cooled. I wanted to completely replace the cloth with leather and not just use a cover, a little more expensive but worth it to me.

 

I have Clazzio and highly recommend them.
