Had a wreck the other night.....truck only has 4400 miles.....just my luck. Pretty sure I'll be driving this truck for a while bc it won't be totaled but wanted to get some feedback from everyone. Not 100% sure about frame damage. Airbags did not deploy. It was delivered to body shop today. Thanks!!

You will get a lot of “yes for sure that’s totaled” but it’s not. You are looking at no more than 15k in damages.

Doesn’t look too bad. But you never know what they’ll find behind that mess.
    Hope everyone walked away unharmed.

Sorry to see this, hope everyone is ok.

On a positive note, you have a massive cold air intake.

Be sure you take it to a reputable shop. Toyota has utilized a lot of high-strength steels in their construction. Very specific procedures for replacing rails and such. Looks like that upper rail is toast.

Absolutely taking it to one of the highest recommended shops around. Some of my good friends will be looking out for me as well throughout the process so I'm hoping for the best.

Not sure how you missed the airbag sensor but no way it's totaled.

Yep, probably not a total. Too bad. You could have gotten a 4WD. Glad everyone's OK.

I'd get a black grille surround for sure and maybe a different grille while it's free.

Not totaled...looks like it took the hit above the frame.

UPDATE : I missed the frame rail, but bent the upper/lower control arm which pushed the right front wheel back about 2". The apron, radiator core support, and all body work was supposed to be relatively straightforward. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that it had a diamond frame.

    FINAL VERDICT : Total loss.

I'm still on the fence. Might take the opportunity to drive something a little less expensive for the next year or so and stack some cash instead. Unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed with the Tacoma as I initially thought I would be. Lessons learned.

That sucks, lucky no one was hurt.

Betchya someone will pick it up from auction, slap some body panels on it, half-ass fix the suspension and sell it w/ the frame damage
