I consistently got 500-550 in my 07 in the summer, winter about 400-430 maybe. I’m seeing about 500 in the winter in my 18’ still getting broken in though. Haven’t had it in summer yet.

Well shit, Now I'm getting grumpy, I'm getting nothing close to that, better yet took it into the stealership, dude at the service counter tried to tell me that because his 97 4 banger got 260km a tank during the winter that it's normal for my 09 V6 to get the same and the reason it's half of what I should be getting is because it's cold outside... o_O no code being thrown by the engine, re replaced the spark plugs, to OEM Denso, and replaced with a K&N air filter.

Nope 265/70/17. Once the snow melts I might pull the rear breaks apart and see if something is going on in there, my front rotors and pads look great, the rear should be better as it was pulled off a newer, lower KM truck when I busted mine two years back. I'm at a loss, but it looks like I'm getting better this tank, I'm at 1/2 and I've gone 182km which 3 weeks ago would have been just below 1/4.

So maybe it was the non- OEN plugs or the filter, or the dam gremlins. I honestly don't know anymore.

6 speed manual with 285/75-16s Summer time, minimal A/C use, normal everyday driving, I have reached that elusive 500km mark twice. Usually around 460-480 before the fuel light makes it's presence known.

I'd get 500-550 litres a tank in my 3rd gen if I let it dip low enough. I usually fill at a little over, or at a quarter tank. 255/85r16 hybrid AT tires. In the winter I was lucky to cap 400 litres a tank, usually less though. Gearing down, lots of 4WD because we get bad ice and got way more snow than we usual, winter fuel mix... just a bad time for my wallet.

HOW IN THE UNGODLY HELL? is your foot actually made of lead?

Only thing i can think of is to reset the computer (unplug the battery for a day or at least overnight) since the trucks "learn" how we drive during some break in period, but it does sort of reset (i heard it doesn't take as long to "relearn" our driving pattern) when it loses power. Maybe by forcing it to "relearn" your driving habits, just drive lightly for a few hundred kms, it might figure itself out)

but on track of the thread, when first got my '18 i managed to get about 610km but it's more around the 530~ish mark on my summers now that they are back on.
winters (BFG KO2s 285/75r16) i'd be lucky to see 450km. but then again most of my daily travel is stop and go traffic. Truck has 28,000km on the OD

I actually went through two tanks of gas this past week. Both times I was over 730 km on the tank.

Also, refills are usually around the 75 litre mark.

    Agreed, that is insane.

From my house in Grande Prairie to Ikea Edmonton is 476km, I'll get there with the light on and stopping at closest gas station when i'm there. 100% stock but 265/70/17 C Duratracs, I noticed a big difference when I changed to these tires. They're great but for the amount that I actually use them for their purpose I'm thinking something less aggressive and lighter next tire change, I'm sure that'll help. Odds are I'll likely upgrade to 3rd gen before these wear out.

I took my Duratracs off a month or so ago. Getting an extra 100 km back on the stock rubber.

once they’re worn out I’ll get a set of Michelins with the 115,00 km treadwear warranty. They are like rocks so they suck when the temps dip below 4 C but they will be even better on gas.

I have found that the no ethanol gas really helps as well. But it costs more so the savings are in refuel stops not dollars.
