3rd gen sub/amp and LOC wiring diagram

In need a wiring diagram to install a line output converter that is NOT a plug and play. Please help

 

Do you have the JBL system or no?

 

What LOC system do you have?

Edit: I am also planning on adding an amp and sub also.

 

This is everything. The sub is a subwoofer and amp all in one as well

 

I don’t think I have the jbl system in my Tacoma.... I’ll go check to make sure right now.

For non-JBL, there are a few places you can go. Either directly behind the radio, or either of the front kick panels. Don’t tap into the rears because they are very limited from the stock radio.

Easiest spot is the the grey+ and blue- wires in this connector in the passenger kick panel

this is the first time ive heard connecting the LOC to ONE front speaker, is this correct? Im doing the same LOC connecting

on passenger side kick panel (2018 non JBL) .....ill still just plug in the TWO male input wires from the LOC into the AMP, correct?

Remote power to the amp i can get from any 12v source or cigarette lighter? from the above photo, is the green or white wire a constant power source?

You can pull audio from just one side with essentially no negatives. Most bass is mixed to come from both channels.

As for tapping remote power, you can get it from any switched source like the cig lighter you mentioned. Unfortunately, none of the wires in the plug in that picture are switched power.

Why are people using a LoC to install equipment that takes speaker level inputs?

Just wondering.

Where is that quote from? I have a Boss amp and seems like most are using the LOC to supply RCA cables and remote trigger. I don’t think I’m wrong on this just looking for guidance. I did order a fuse adapter to add the line for the remote trigger. Just need to figure out where to install the add a fuse vs finding kick panel source to trigger my amp on and off. Cheers
