Had the grille and garnish on my 18 OR since last October....today I wake up to find my garnish missing and the top tab broken!? Are these easy to steal? What are the chances of these just falling out? I do 99% highway/city driving so no real bumps...

My first thought was Bird strike? but no because the bottom 2 tabs have came out intact and the area around hole where the top tab is located has been down so it may have been pried out.

I don't see any way that someone could steal it, but at the same time, it shouldn't just fall out. It nests pretty securely and it doesn't look like any pry marks on your grille. The cost of those is so low that it would be foolish to try to steal it. The only way I see that someone could get it out would be to use a suction cup with a lot of pulling and that would probably have broken the grille and there is no way they could have gotten behind it because the sensor is mounted over it.

I find it extremely hard to believe someone would want to steal a piece of plastic. My guess is something hit it.

I agree.... I just don’t see how it’s possible....that top tab looks broken in there.

Did you epoxy or otherwise secure the 2 posts that come through the grille plastic? I did, but before I did the garnish was pretty well wedged in but not actually secure. If you didn't, I could see it popping out with just the right circumstances.
