    Nothing crazy but a few things here and there. Brought back some dirt from the Shakedown, Dropped the OEM Skids and got a Tennessee Facial :rofl:

    Was finally able to get the skids mounted up after work.

    The Sliders for my wife’s 4runner have been sitting for a while, looking to tackle that job on the weekend hopefully.

    Just plain old rattle can got the job done, I will say that the bolt-on sliders make for easy work initial coats and touch-up jobs down the line.

    Amazing Kids of mine is all I can say. My kids surprised me with their Birthday gift. Likely with lots of help from the wife browsing my wishlists and carts.

    A huge shoutout and Thank You to a great guy and friend. My buddy @G.T. basically swept the big prizes at the Shamrock Shakedown raffle. Here he is with all his swag loaded up in the back of my brother’s truck. He had no need for 4runner sliders, so he shook my hand and said “those sliders are going on your 4runner”! Over the last couple of weeks I’ve prepped and painted them, they sat for a bit while I got back in the groove of work.

    @G.T.

    Finally got these bomb proof @Mobtown Offroad rock sliders mounted on the wife’s 4runner.

    In the Army you’ll meet some of the greatest people ever! You’ll likely run into the dumbest Oxygen wasters too.

    And there’s Jeep people, likely Lieutenants!

    Got the truck up on the lift today after work. A couple weeks overdue for a 5 tire rotation. Hopefully I did it right.

    Don’t wanna say it out loud too soon, but I do see a full size toy/toy hauler somewhere down the line.

    Drove over to @G.T. ’s shop where @Thtguyrandy is getting back to knocking out his Long Travel Setup. Couldn’t stick around longer to help since I had a 2.5 hour drive back home. @Tacomania and @Sasquatch3153 are there helping out. Definitely looking forward to seeing it all buttoned up.

    Damn, great deal. I keep going back and forth on spindle reinforcement... on one hand I like the added strength. On the other hand, I can drive home with a bent spindle. I'd rather not transfer that force [that would have bent my spindle] to another part of the system that is less easy to fix.

    Thoughts?

    @BEAR_KNIFE_FIGHT I Went ahead and jumped on em since I went to 315/75/16’s. I haven’t seen spindle failures myself, however majority of the guys I wheel with, wheel their shit pretty hard, and pretty much sold me on them as cheap strong insurance. As far as the transfer of force with regard the give of the OEM spindle vs a stronger one on to another component, I really haven’t given that much thought. But I do see where there could be some cause for concern, as I’m sure engineers smarter than me, may have designed that part to be a particular fail point in the event of a collision or something like that. You might be on to something bro, good food for thought, definitely gonna look into it.

    For sure -- most of the people I hear that argument from [weaker spindles to save other parts] are LT guys who whoop pretty aggressively, so presumably they are putting very different stresses on their trucks.

    Looking forward to the install on those! I'll probably look into that, good call finding some from a truck that didn't love theirs enough.
