There's buyers, dealership wouldn't do it otherwise. I don't blame em. Me wonders if those dealer-installed snorkels come with diff breather relocations? That person is in for a rude awakening when they go forging rivers, and water gets into their diffs. Back to stealerahip for repairs, not covered by warranty because offroad duh = retail pricing. Buyers already forked over more than they should buying the truck, so they keep mining their mark. Rinse. Repeat. 5 on the lot you say...

In reality those diffs will get wet from rain and the car wash if they splurge for the 'undercarriage' option.

Depending on location, they’re often for desert running where sand and dust is present.

    Too few to list.
Yep, salesman told me "all covered under warranty" that is until someone actually uses it off-road and any claims will be denied because of off-road use.

I highly doubt they'd do a diff relo mod. They didn't even change the rear shocks.

I think the idea is the increased height will suck in less dirt when driving behind people in the desert, a pre filter would probably help F1B73AFA-BA21-404D-BDA6-8AC5EC35A0AE.jpg

Brace yourselves, here come the dorkel comments on why they're needed and why they aren't. .....

And to start things off: 2 thirds of your examples don't qualify as those vehicles get built and fixEd for each race...... followed up with, 90% of people with dorkels don't need or use them for what they are!

Pro Tip: route your snorkel into the cab of the truck because your AC always blows clean air.
