Got a new silver 2019 limited that I am thinking of swapping the wheels from a TRD OR.

Can anyone think of a downside to this swap (I.e. going from the Michelins to the Good Year Kevlar's)

I am only thinking about the swap for looks only and don’t really plan on doing any extreme off-roading.. at most I will be off pavement when heading to a hunting lease from time to time but that will be rarely done when I do go.

I think the Limited wheels are better looking than the OR wheels. And the Michelins are probably the best street tires for the Tacoma. Just my 2 cents.

Looks wise, nearly everything else is better than the wheels on the limited. Too bad you just missed the TRD 40% off sale, could have got yourself some sweet wheels for dirt cheap.

I did get a skid plate during the 40 off sale but didn’t really want to get the wheels from Toyota during the sale as the deal I am looking at would only cost me around 350 for new TRD OR take offs if I trade my limited wheels in.

San Angelo, TX...? I lived there for a few years... if you’re only changing out for looks, then do whatever makes you happy as you shouldn’t feel any real difference on road.

I am in north TX now but yes the username is linked to San Angelo. I lived there for 20 years and will most likely retire there when it’s time.

Looks wise, Limited wheels look better than anything else unless you're after that "Ghetto" look.
