Purchased an 09' Taco Double Cab with 3" lift last year, and have suffered from the infamous take off shudder just before the truck shifts into second. I've just dealt with it for the past year but am now looking at putting on a Tom Wood's one-piece to take care of the shudder.

My only concern is that I'm moving across the country and will be pulling a loaded 6x12 Uhaul trailer, along with a loaded bed. Has anybody with a one-piece driveshaft had problems with towing due to the weight changing your drive-line angles?

The reason I'd like to put the Tom Wood's shaft on now is because I only live about 60 miles from their shop :D, I just haven't wanted to fork out the money until now.

My guess is that a one piece shaft will have less of an angle change so you should have no problems.

That's basically the conclusion I've come to. The one piece will shift the pivot point for the driveshaft up to the transmission output instead of the two-piece joint. I think I'll pull the trigger on one.
