Had an unfortunate supercharger failure over the weekend. Unit was brand new and lasted about 50K. I never really pushed it, and changed rotex fluid right before it gave out. Luckily it was still under the three year warranty. Curious if anyone else has run into this issue. Huge thanks to Steve at URD for taking care of me and getting the parts out quickly.

Very loud whine. When I got home, took the intake pipe off and massive shaft play with the impeller blades. Pulley side seized.

Damn, glad you were able to isolate the problem before it caused more damage. Sounds like Gadget made it right, so props to him for that

    Hmmm...
Sorry about this maybe why I haven’t installed mine yet...
I love to do an LS and apparently they fit with room left over. This is with the oil pan on top of the cross member & with a truck intake. The truck / iron blocks are 220 lbs the aluminum block is an 109 lbs. Iron block motors are very cheap? A buddy that works for a large GM dealer said he could get an running truck motor with 20 to 40k and compression checked for about 8 bills. CFS has a radiator and the rear gear in 2 gen Taco’s where in first Gen Tundra’s & Sequoia’s. If I was good with electrical there be a Toylet running around the Phx area with a Tremec 5 speed.
