Weren't you wanting to change your bumper? Possible a blessing in disguise. Hope you're alright.

ARB is a piece of shit I’ve had nothing but issues with it since I got it the mounts of it failed and dropped into my tires then the tires shoved it into my front end.

Yup they mount the bumper to the cradle and the cradle mounts to the truck. The bolts that mount the bumper to the cradle bent and broke dropping the bumper into my tires. I had an sos before and I regretted selling it for an arb after having the arb. It was bouncy as hell from day 1.

That is typically one of the weekends that everyone seems to head down to the Outer Banks. The other is Labor Day weekend.

Applied at the shipyard in Newport News and a couple others. Didn’t realize how long the background checks take for those jobs.

Wife officially left for deployment yesterday and now I’m back home in Texas.

Do y’all wheel or meet up pretty often? Anyone around Norfolk?

That’s where the wife is stationed and I guess I need to get up there sooner than later since it’s gonna be home till 2023

Or does anyone work industrial in here that could help out a navy husband? Welder by craft but really will do anything as long as I can pay the bills. This move isn’t about the money but just about following my wife during her service.

Bauer Compressors is a good company to work for. The was a welder position open but I don't see it on the site now. There are a few other openings though.

I’ll be in the Norfolk area in about a month due to my wife being Air Force. Can’t help on the job hunt but I’m always working on my truck and try to wheel regularly.

We meet up on occasion. A group on FB meets up atleast once a month it seems. Wheeling is a little far away for most people to do constantly but it seems a group going out a few times a year. Norfolk is central to most people on this thread. My wife works for a company called Oceaneering Inc. They hire welders and skilled trade a lot. Look them up and let me know of you apply cause you can use her name as a reference for hire

Is anyone interested in a parent friendly meet? Basically something at a brewery around 2pm on a Sunday?

I’ll be down there in a few weeks and I’ll be happy to help you out. Just pay for consumables, i.e. welding wire, gas, metal.

Shouldn’t be too much! Maybe $10. I’ll let you know once I get moved and settled.
