    Hey friends,
Got a new Tacoma, wanted one for too long. Now Im wondering if I shoulda got the offroad or pro instead of the sport. Feel free to make me feel better. I do like the ride though.

I also got a long list of gear & mods to spend money on already, building a camping rig. Got a rack in the mail and rooftop tent I havent used yet. By the way, is it too soon to start doing work to it? (3000 miles in)

You’ll be fine in the sport man! Want a hood scoop like the pro? You already got one! Want lockers? Add them... leather seats and a faux pro bro badge? Add them too!

Seriously tho, congrats on the truck... enjoy the mods - it’s fun.

Mod that truck as soon as you want. Mine was 2 weeks old with only 301 miles on it. Lifted it with FOX COs, new UCA, and offroad tires the next day. Good luck with your truck.

    Too soon? No.
Wise? Not unless you need the mods.

Honestly not trying to sound like a jerk.
I’ve been there and done that.
Didn’t honestly need the mods. Never used them for what they were intended.
Lost money later when I sold the truck.

But I will say, the truck looked awesome.

If you know for sure you will need and use the mods.

    GO FOR IT

iirc i changed my shift knob, wheels & tires, tint, HIDs, and of course a bed mat all before 60 miles. it was a 52 mile drive home from delivery with a 1 mile truck.

Okay .. I was trying to make you feel good about the sport because off road dont come with long beds. I got a sport because long bed was a must. If you got a long bed i was going to point that out.

Anyways, F it you got a taco. Its never too early to mod. Its addicting so forewarning, but it is such a reward especially if you go wheeling offroad. Hey you can always throw in aftermarket lockers that are better than the rear locker in the offroad.

    Congrats.

I got a garage! But the new rtt is laying in there waiting for the rack thats in the mail, and the hardware that was supposed to come with the tent. Then we got a freak snowstorm today. Its been a long week. Had to replace a tire this week too, poor tacoma.
