I see all these great builds but hardly any with a roll bar. Any reason?

Also, I was wondering if anyone has a Black Horse® - Roll Bar more details on - https://www.carid.com/2019-toyota-t...ml?parentsubmodel[]=BED+LENGTH|5'+(60.5")+Bed
installed on their truck. How it looks.

More importantly anyone has a cover on with that bar. Just wondering if its possible to get both. I wanted to get the BakMx4 cover with that roll bar.

    please let me know.

    thanks,

BlackHorse off road is one of those weird companies that seems to have great products at really low prices, but reviews of their products are nowhere to be found. i was interested in a bumper they put out, but most warned me to stay away from them, just cause their prices seem to good to be true, and they have no reputation, for better or worse.

ive got a headache rack, similar to a roll bar I guess. more utilitarian for me. stops objects for crashing into my windows and i can tie stuff to the rack.

the roll bar look is cool though. gives the truck an old school feel.

I don't roll my truck, so I don't see a need for one?

yeah, looks like the blackhorse roll bar offers little in the way of protection from roll overs. buy it for looks but not rollover protection. or get a more useful headache rack

Regarding reviews for blackhorse roll bar you are so right. Never see any reviews but it looks so good. Just not sure if the BakMX4 will fit properly and no one really seems to like having a roll bar out here aesthetically so no real recommendations.

I just bought the Toyota specific one in stainless. The black one is no longer available as a Toyota specific part number. I don’t know if the universal one will bolt in as easily.

I need the weather to turn before I can paint it and install. With the existing mounts there is no way it fits with a tonneau. Maybe that kit raises the bar up but it will be far too high.

I think the reason you don’t see it much is because it has absolutely no practical function. It’s a for looks only thing.
