I'm looking into get rock slider for my 2016 TOYOTA TACOMA TRD off road Double Cab Short Bed. I want to keep weight low but still want it to be used as a jack point for Hi-lift jack.

Most Double Cab Short Bed w/o Fill Plates are around 140-160lbs (Fill Plates adds 12-20 lbs)

I wants to stay under 100LBS with plates or flat top.

Should i go with Steel or Aluminum I don't want to kill MPG but still want it to be strong

    Thanks

I don’t think there are any aluminum options out there, or am I wrong?

As with a lot of other products, you can have high strength, light weight, or a low price.....but you only get to pick 2 of those properties.

Aluminum sliders I've seen around have typically been 1-off custom builds. Their cost and uselessness keep their market too small to do production runs.

@SOS CONCEPTS is in Lorens,SC. Email Eddy, don't call he hardly ever hears the phone, he is great to work with and makes top notch products. There are several ways to lighten sliders up the first of which would be to get weld ons then you save all the weight of the mounting brackets. With you that close you can also save on shipping by picking them up and if Eddy is available he may be able to install the weld ons for you. Just a thought you are both in SC so makes sense and have a great product.

EDIT: if ou decide on them get in touch with @ovrlndkull for a code to get 10% off as well

Aluminum and rock slider don't happen together

Shipping is the killer, if you're in SC look at @Mobtown Offroad , iirc they're east coast and also make bolt-ons.
BAMF makes nice ones but are west coast.
