Anyone looking to do advanced diagnostics on the Taco or any other vehicle... The Zurich Pro that Harbor Frieght sells is a very good option. The OS they use looks strikingly similar to what Autel uses. Its $1,099 but it will do a LOT of stuff.

You can turn off all the rear o2 stuff and the P0420/p0430 stuff so there’s no need for sims anymore.

Guess I'll either be returning the unopened URD sims I have or selling them. Same for the j-bung adapters.

Anyone know if the code thrown for an aftermarket gas cap is needed for anything else? I get a CEL for my Stant aftermarket locking gas cap that I'd like to disable if it's not needed as a warning for anything else.

It may actually have a real EVAP leak. Id want to fix that on my truck, but yes with HP Tuners you can disable all those DTCs too.

Ok yeah that makes sense...so that code would still be useful for the EVAP unit above the fuel tank. When I had the locking gas cap on I would constantly get a CEL. Once I put the stock gas cap back on, no CEL anymore.

I think I'll leave that one alone.

If you need to have a locking cap, maybe try a different brand. If putting the stock cap back on fixes the problem, I'd venture a guess that the aftermarket one you have isn't designed properly for your application and isn't sealing well.

The stant worked well for about 6 months with no CEL then started doing it constantly after its first winter, so the cold temps probably have something to do with that. These locking gas caps are hit or miss on the proper seal based on the reviews.

Knock on wood, but no problems with my Stant 10504 locking cap used since September 2018.

Edit: but it's been just over 6 months now...

Just pulled the trigger on an HP tunah so i can delete the SAI and maybe make some future changes to my TRD tune. Figure it's cheaper than having the truck go into limp mode and me have to pay for that. Has anyone sorted out block off plates for the SAI yet? @loginfailed maybe? I did see a few pages back you took yours out

Ah, you meant the 7th, not the UCON itself. Gotcha.

Does anyone have a 65mm to 76mm throttle body adapter they want to sell? been checking the URD website for months and they are out of stock. Gadget told me they were going to get more, but it's not looking like it
