I'd come just to hang out, but I'm going to a family camp out and skeet shoot this weekend and we're expecting rain on Sat. No washy truck if it's gonna rain.

Aww hell, I used to race standups for Yamaha from 96-98. Whitney was one of my fav courses.

With that kind of mileage, offer them between $3-3.5k. I would be hard pressed to go higher than that with the mileage. You can find the same bike with far fewer miles at the same price point if not slightly less than the one in the link.

 

Depends on the motorcycle. There are two F4i sport bikes that I know of that have 200,000 miles. Those are aberrations of course, but well designed and maintained motors can and will last forever. What's the difference between them and a car engine?

Generally speaking, around 2k mi per year is a good rule of thumb. Most motorcycles aren't commuter vehicles. They're toys so the mileage will reflect that. Consider the manufacturer too. I wouldn't trust a one month old HD with 10mi, but I'd trust a one year old Honda with 10,000mi or more.

It's also a lot easier to see abuse on a motorcycle than a car. Within five minutes you can get a pretty good idea of how a bike has been treated. So a high mileage motorcycle that has been well cared for is a far better buy than one with less mileage but has a stretched chain, worn sprockets, etc.
