Getting new tires soon for my '06 4Runner. I'm fairly sure I've settled on Kelly Safari TSRs, but most of my driving will be road and highway, so ideally I'd pick up the tire in a load range C. Unfortunately, it appears that the Kelly Safari TSRs are no longer produced in a C (at 265/70R17), but one website I've found has them in stock - the issue is that they're priced at $257 a tire, whereas the easily found E load TSRs are priced at $215 per tire. My main question is: would the additional $168 I'd be spending on the C load TSRs be worth the MPG/ride I'd get in comparison to the E load?

(Side note: Planning on lifting 3" in the front, 2" in back)

    Thanks all, any feedback appreciated.

The MPGs should mostly come from weight, not so much the land rating (same flavor tire can have the same weight with different load ratings....see the 315/70/17 KO2s)

But for ride quality, the C will feel like a cloud vs the E load. Personally I'd pony up and get the C-load if like you said you'll be on-road most of the time.
