Yep, they still exist.... Dillweed with twin oversized US flags hanging off poles behind the cab on his raised Ram truck honked one incessantly while zooming around in the HomeDepot parking lot, like he was in the latest "Monster Truck Jam!"

I want to see a pack of wolves vs this pit bull

    straight from google
Size and Weight: Gray wolves are the largest canids: on average, adults have a nose-to-tail length between 4.5 and 6ft (1.4 to 1.8m), a height at the shoulder from 26 to 32 inches (66 to 81cm), and a weight measuring between 50 and 110lbs (22.7 to 50kg). The largest wolf on record weighed 175lbs (79.3kg)

My 85 lbs pit bull would have no problem against 110 lbs wolf.
If you have never seen it it's hard to understand the ferocity and sheer power of a pit bull once it decides another animal nees to die

Haha, that's an awesome dog! Holy crap... love it.
BTW, the largest wolf ever recorded was 230lbs, not the 175 you listed.
Using a freak example to prove your point has no merit. There's lots of variables. Some pits could win, some wolves could win but again, wolves are professional killers with higher bite strength and I would bet quicker than most pits by far. My buddy has 4 HUGE pits and they are the sweetest, loving dogs. Due to the fact that they don't have to fight and kill to live, they'd get their asses kicked by a skilled, seasoned wolf.

I agree some pits could win, some wolves would win.
i'm just saying mine could take an average wolf
That dog came up when i googled average weight of a pit and I had to include him

    It's all good :)
I wonder if that pit has some mastiff in him? 2 of my buddies pits are HUGE.. you just laugh when you see them. Every time I go over there I have this "alert" going off in my brain before I walk through the door cuz those dogs would make me unrecognizable in about a minute, lol.
They are the best dogs, though. One of them always jumps up on the couch and rests his head on my chest, looking up at me... amazing how something so beastly can be so cute.

Pack animals don't play fair, and regularly snack on domestic pets of all descriptions. A Lake Isabella local mentioned to me that when coyotes come for your pitbull left chained outside, all that's left the next morning is a chained collar. Pack canid predators kill most every day, for a living.

Please don't put your loved pet in a bad situation. Highly Messed Up business.

Peaceful, wimpy coyotes ATE a country western singer in Canada in recent times. They would be MORE than happy to lure your tired hunting dog off to a pack ambush. BTDT

All the talk about wolves and pit pulls was hypothetical.

I really hope you don't believe everything you here. coyotes are weak compared to a big pit bull. they only weigh 45lbs Max. I have witness a fight between a pack of 10 coyotes and my mixed mutt. He looked just like this old yeller and weighed 85 to 95lbs
    [IMG]

We built and moved into a new house when I was 12 and Apparently there was a coyote den about 150 yards from the house. The first night we stayed there the coyotes started yapping so me and my dad went outside to see wtf was going on and my dog was already headed straight for them. We tried to stop him by calling but it didn't work. He killed 4 of them right there in the yard. The others ran off and we never seen them again. I'm sure he killed the rest of them later. He had a few cuts on him but nothing bad.

It was like a fight between a pack of 9 year olds against a grown 225 lbs man

The western coyote I shot in an isolated canyon of the Eastern Sierra was muscular, beefy and could eat whatever it wanted. Long sharp white fangs

The pitbull eating issue was a common occurrence in Lake Isabella and happened to HIM. He had no gun, and said it was remarkably scary listening to a pack of them under his trailer fighting.

I got lost at 8,500 feet in the Southern Sierras late last deer season, and the coyotes were howling like wolves in an Alaska documentary. Unreal and messed up as the sun was already down and my truck full of firewood nowhere to be found. I found it in the absolute last 5 minutes of usable light.

2009 saw the Canadian singer's mauling.

You guys may have the wimps, but they are a significant amount of danger here, and one of the reasons I have to carry a sidearm when birdhunting with dogs out West.

Without going back and reading through all of this. I take it a guy with an air horn has a wolf eating pitbull? A wolf eating pitbull? Or does a guy want an airhorn, cause, wolfs. And this, this is where the subject of pitbulls come into the discussion?

Just installed a set of what I believe to be bad ass Vixen horns. Can’t really check the manufacturer as I’m 4 states away from home until tomorrow evening. That said 3 horns came in a cluster. I know what you’re thinking when somebody says cluster-f but it wasn’t like that at all. I disassembled all 3 horns from the original mounting bracket and cut it into 3-pieces. Mounted each of the 2 smaller horns each behind each of the headlights. Removing the headlights was the hardest part of the install. The largest trumpet was mounted just left of the centerline before the grill was reinstalled.

I purchased a 100 foot roll of air line of Amazon and ran it down the drivers side frame along with a piece of SJOOW 10/3 wire. I used SJOOW because it’s rated for outdoor use, covered in rubber, & gas and oil won’t bother it. Used AWG 10 wire because the compressor draws 25-amps when running. Used the green wire fit the ground, the black wire to power the compressor and the white wire from the SP-9100 SwitchPros panel to open the air solenoid.

I mounted the compressor, air tank, electrical box, and cooling fan on a piece of plywood that resides in the bed. The first test I ran was with the Tacoma in our pole barn and the overhead doors closed. Let’s just say I’ll never do that dumb-ass-shit again cause my ears are still ringing.

I’ll be more than happy to attach any and all pictures if anyone is interested in seeing the setup. I’m very happy with the end result.

Here's where our compressor and air line connects. I used a router and cutout for a electrical receptacle. 3-wire plug green=ground black=compressor white=horn button

Here's the compressor, tank, fan, and, electrical junction box connected. We have a bed cover so the fan runs whenever the compressor runs keeping it cool.compressor4.jpg

We mounted a trumpet behind each of the headlights and the 3rd which is the longest just off center behind the grill. I used a short length of pipe insulation (pool noodle) and a cable tie to keep the trumpet stable.compressor2.jpg
