Possible? Sure..enough money everything is possible.

Do you think the truck will last 300k without many problems? I'm hoping to drive the wheels of my current truck. 110 miles round trip to work so we shall see

Also, i'm sure this has been asked before so I apologize.

I think it’ll do it no problem. There’s people on here with well over 100k with no issues

    I put 50k on a 2016 and I’ve got 83k on a 2017, both have had no major issues.

Drive-train longevity is the reason I bought Toyota.

I think that 300k miles is certainly more than possible and even probable.

But that's A LOT of miles. So even if everything holds up mechanically, there's a human aspect to this. If you're the type of person that will take care of something with the exact same care and attention in year 10 as you did when you first bought it, then I'm pretty sure the truck will last 300k or more.

But let's be honest: come year six or seven when the truck is old(er) and crustier, you start to neglect little things. Maybe you're not right on the dot with maintenance. Maybe you let a few things go here and there. Or maybe it's time to replace the timing belt and you think, "oh, it'll be fine" and don't do it. I think it's human nature that works against these trucks making the ultra-high-mileage status even if the mechanics are sound.

All this is assuming that you're just onroading and commuting and not doing offroad hijinks, modding the crap out of the truck, etc.

Plenty of chrysler 3.6L's with 300+k miles out there, I'd hope any toyota engine/drivetrain would breeze past 300k with the recommended maintenance schedules.

Not a Tacoma, but my fathers corolla hit the maximum mileage and just stopped recording. Went for another 2 years until it finally conked.

My 2008 Lexus IS350 (same engine at it's core) has approximately 180k and I've had zero issues, just basic maintenance. Keep in mind, that engine is tuned for more performance, so the Toyota Tacoma should have no issue getting to 300k.

56k on my 18 with no problems.

One member on here already has 200k+ miles on his 16 with no issues if I recall correctly.

There's a 2nd gen with 1million miles, dont see why ours cant reach crazy high miles. It's a toyota after all and why most of us own them. Brand Loyal.

I work with old vehicles at work, one ford van just turned 300,000 and nothing done besides regular stuff, still runs strong. My buddy’s Chevy work truck just turned over 200k and my Chevy work truck is close o 200k. Lots of others that’s in the 250k range so our Tacoma’s should do it easy although I won’t live long enough to hit that getting around 8k or less on mine a year.

The Japanese have this 3.5 perfected. I don't see any reason why not.

    Same as everybody else...
I bought my truck 5 years ago, at the time I bought she had about 57k on her. Currently the truck has 118k and, with the exception of replacing both front wheel bearings, I haven't done anything other than routine maintenance. I'm 60 and I plan on the truck lasting as long as I do. BTW, my buddy has a old as dirt Tercel with about 240k, the motor and drivetrain are still solid but the rest of the car is toast.

Sure it’ll last 300k, with a lot of maintenance and a few repairs.

Check out the 1st and 2nd Gen forums for reference. They’ll tell you everything that you need to know about your 3rd Gen.

Do you want a Ranger with hell jammed down a 4 cylinder or a Toyota with a Lexus engine capable of 300 K ?
    Or a Shity Colorado ?
    The choice is clear. Toyota.

300k is nothing if you keep up on maintenance. Quit worrying.

'05 Taco. Wrecked at 750k miles. Currently, my '18 is over a hunny.

The answer is a resounding yes, OP.
