Did my used truck have a CMC?

not sure as I don’t know what it would look like before.

 

It appears to be stock. You still have the factory seam there on the cab mount.

Where exactly is the cab mount?
And what would get chopped?

I’ve tried searching for before and after pics. I’m just curious. No plans to do it.

It is right behind the front tire under the cab at the bottom of the wheel opening.

A chop for 33's



A chop for 34's or 35's

 

Really like that full wrap at the end. Never seen it done like that.

 

I cut, fit, and shape my own plates out of 3/16. The full chop with the wrapped end is actually cut all the way back to the frame it doesn’t show in those pics. Then I cut and shape 3 3/16 plates and weld it solid even underneath retaining clearance for the body bolt The end is tapered also for more clearance

 

Did a relocate a few weeks ago. They're not bad the hardest part is getting the old mount off and cleaning up the frame

 

Did a shock relcate and chevy 63" spring conversion to the same truck in the same weekend. Go to this link and scroll down to post 2258 and read through that. It was a busy weekend we did all that, his cab mount relocate and boxed his frame with hand cut plates and my rear suspension
