I plan on rebuilding, this was done in rush mode for a week long trip down to VA this weekend (anyone want to show me some trails?). It's pretty stable on the road no bouncing or clunks over bumps at all. My original idea was to attach to the front t rail but the t nuts I got from eBay were a little undersized for my comfort. I hope to get so e to e to weld something up that's a little lower profile or collapsible for when carrying sheet goods .

Quality enduro race schedule is rather light here in the Southeast this year. I'm considering buying a beater 26" DH bike and racing DH for the season

Would definitely help my overall riding

@Gunshot-6A Don't you have a Devinci Wilson? I found an alloy 26" rig with quality components I may try and buy

My wife and I are looking at moving from quite old hard tails into full suspension. I am not looking to drop thousands per bike based on our riding styles and amount of time spent mountain biking. We have started to lean towards the Giant Stances. I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with the Stance 1 or Stance 2 and felt like sharing their personal experiences.

    Thanks.

Funny you should post this inquiry. I'm actually selling a Giant Stance 2.
    https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/2548164/

It was my wife's bike, but I rode it a few times to feel it out. While it was a touch small for me, I really enjoyed it. Giant puts out pretty well spec'ed bikes for each given price point. For a first full squish I'd say the Stance is a great option. Are there others out there? Probably.

I paid 2500 in 2014 for my Trance which is pretty close to the stance. My gf has the same bike but by Liv. They have been great bikes but after 4 years I am ready to upgrade, she is still very happy with hers. I am curious what you mean by riding style? A hardtail 29er will be more budget friendly and roll over a lot of stuff very nicely. Or you can get better components for the same price with the added advantage of less costly maintenance.

I really enjoy my 650B wheels but I've been on those 29ers and they roll right over everything.

    It's getting there.
hey guys, I'm new to this thread. I have an older (maybe 2010 I was told it was the last year aluminum frame cannondales were made in the states.) cannondale Flash F3 with a lefty, Sram drivetrain parts and juicy brakes. I haven't ridden much in years, so I was wondering one of two things. Is my bike worth anything if I tried to sell it, or, does anyone know some decently newbie friendly trails in NJ?

Ended up doing a casual 15 mile ride on the smuggler. It’s amazing the balance it has in its geo for some fun and yet can get up hills easily.

Hate to say it but I tried out an Ebike today in the parking lot after my ride and wow...I see why they are so fun. Makes me want to sell my nomad and look into one since the nomad is shelved most of the time.

The smuggler is on my shortlist for my next bike. I like to hear it can handle the climbs as that’s a necessity for my area and style of riding.

Made some brackets and decided to try a different setup...... if I like it, I’ll order some 1upUSA racks to mount up.

Riding style might not have been the best wording. I just know that we would not get our money’s worth out of some of the more expensive bikes. We have both test rode a few full suspension bikes including some 29ers. We both like the 27.5s more. I really enjoyed the hard tail but I crossed the threshold into my 40’s a year ago and all the stupid crap I did in my 20’s is making me have to make a lot of adjustments to active pursuits in order to still be able to enjoy them.
