Looking at wheels for my 2018 TRD Off Road. 17x8.5 0 offset/4.75 backspace or 17x9 -12 offset/4.50 backspace and why? I am running 285/70/17 and will be installing Bilstein 5100s with OME 888 coils and an AAL

Hope you're prepared to cut the body mount.
At that tire size and wheel spec you're very very likely to need a body mount cut.

The fn konig six shooter are 8 offset and backspacing you're looking for. I have them as well with a 285 70 17

    Buy 17x9 4.5 BS w/-12 offset!
Thats what i got no rubbing on anything for daily driving on 285-70-17 Nitto Trail Grapplers, but took off mudflaps and front "short" flap in the front tires anyway.

The -12 offset will be spaced about .5 inches further out from the truck. This will increase the likelihood of rubbing the cab mount when turning. Your choice of upper control arm will effect this too.

    17x8.5 +0, will poke 1.37"
    17x9 -12, will poke 2"

17x8.5 +0 will require less work

You want a lower offset and a backspacing of 4.5 or less.

These are 16x 8 -12 offset procomp 7069's, They make the same wheel in a 17x9 with a -10 offset, which should have almost the same exact stance.

Thanks, they are 265-75-16 Toyo MT's, I have bilsteins set to .85. I had these same tires on my stock rims and they looked weak, as soon as I went to the 8 inch wide ,with the -12 offset,it totally changed the look

love these wheels.. almost pulled trigger on them this morning and I called 4 wheel parts.. they said these wheels don't clear brake calipers and that i'd have to run a spacer.. can you shine a light on this??
