Ya this is a really good face plate it actually has the same little bumps all over it like the stock face plate has, also it is a very good match to the same color as stock.

yeah so I installed my 4200dvd with no problem, did the dvd mod so I could run it w/o the parking brake on, but I'm having problems with this stupid steering wheel control module. Has anyone used the Axxess swc interface for their HU? I read alot of good things about it and it seemed pretty simple to hook up but I can't get this damn thing to work. HELP!

Are you talking about the SWI-PS? It took me a while to figure out but the directions were crap. Send me a PM if that's the module you're talking about and I'll try to explain it to you.

This is the one I purchased. I read that the pac swi had some lag response when pressing the volume controls so I figured I'd try this one out.

So does anyone have the directions from Crutchfield on the installation of the 3200DVD? I just bought it off of Amazon and fear that there will be no directions, or at least as good as those provided by Crutchfield.

    Thanks

Just connect the color coded wires in the wiring adapter and that should be all you need for the 3200 unless you want to bypass the dvd parking brake.

Anyone have the 3200DVD? I was looking at that one and the 3200BT with the built in bluetooth for an extra $50, but wasn't sure if it's worth it. Thanks in advance!

Update on the Axxess ASWC.....it sucks!! I wired it up exactly as the instructions told me to and nothing happened. I tried everything I could think of before finally breaking down and calling tech support. Long story short, tech support guy was a douche and I still didn't get my sh*t to work so I boxed up the SWC and am now in the market for a different module. I've installed a million different types of HU's in a million different vehicles and couldn't unlock the mysteries of this stupid SWC. What a friggin headache! Sorry guys, I was looking forward to doing a writeup on this but looks like you'll have to settle for my bitch post:mad:

Griffindoug, just match all the colors up on the wire harness, plugin and go. If your referring to the DVD parking brake override mod, pm me and I'll send you directions on how to do that.

I just installed the ASWC. It took 2 minutes and I was done. The instructions were a bit confusing, but if you go to their site and figure out their page well enough to get you vehicle specific instructions, it tells you exactly which wires to hook together and no resistor is needed.

1 went to Ignition Power (stuck it in the radio harness)
1 went to Ground (stuck it in the radio harness)
2 went to the radio harness
1 wire on the radio harness got grounded (stuck that in the radio harness too)

No lag, works perfectly. Programmed itself to the equivalent of how the stock worked, steering controls lighted up.

Maybe you have some wires mixed up or a bad unit? Its confusing when they talked about the pin numbers, I went by wire color instead, which was also confusing when they said Green/Orange and there was an orange wire with a green stripe, and a green wire with an orange stripe, but the first color is the primary color and second is the stripe.

Mine was installed on a Pioneer 4200 in a 2009 DC OR
