    I love Oakley's. Have a couple pair. Kinda nice that an Oakley sales rep live down the street from me and has a sale a couple times a year.

    Nope. They are not. If you’re police, fire, EMS, or military/veteran, you can sign up for the “Oakley Standard Issue” discounts. Sometimes there are decent deals on stuff. But a set of Gascans will still cost about $100.

    Oakley used to be competitive until Luxottica screwed them over and put a new spin on the term “hostile takeover”. When they folded, Luxottica swooped in, bought them out, and then jacked the price of everything. I bought my first pair of Gascans for about $50 on OakleySI.

    FYI you can’t escape Luxottica, they own Oakley, RayBan, and almost all other name brand glasses, Sunglasses Huts and most other sunglass retail stores, AND LensCrafters and many other eyeglass retail stores.

    So much for antitrust laws. :mad:
