    Hey guys,

I found a pair of 03' 4runner sport rims 17' for a good price. I am looking to run the same size tires I have now, 265/70. With the larger rim will I get any rub? Also is the offset and backspacing similar? I don't want my tires sticking past my fender flares.

Anyone have pics of this set-up?

    Thanks

If you have access to the rims, the offset in millimeters will be stamped right on the rim. Not sure, but I think they will be similar to the 2nd gen rims. If so, you will see 30 mm stamped on the inside surface.

For reference, stock 1st gen rims are stamped 15 mm. In this case the higher number indicates they will be tucked in further, by about 9/16" (15 mm). This puts the inside surface of the tire closer to the upper control arm.

Why only two rims? And why would you want to mix and match sizes. I hope you realize that a 265/70-16 (typical stock size on a 1st gen 4x4) is not the same overal diameter as a 265/70-17.

I'm sorry just re-read my post. I meant to say a set, not a pair. I didn't realize that the does not have the same diameter, that chart is very helpful. I don't have the rims, but I'm going to be looking at them soon, so ill have to see what is stamped on the rim.

    Thanks for the info
