Planing a short get away this weekend from SLC down to this area, wondering if there is anything that I need to see, cool trails, hiking spots, awesome places to camp. Hoping someone here has some advise on the area.

    Stock offroad with RTT.

    Thanks,

Take the Smithsonian Butte Scenic Backway near Zion. High clearance recommended for the north end. South end is pretty decent. Take the side road off there across Gooseberry Mesa to the very end of the road. Good overlook.

    Toquerville Falls, in Toquerville.

FS Road 31 in the Red Cliffs area is a nice, scenic drive.

Sandy dirt road to Sand Cove Campground, then hike down to the Virgin River and babylon arch.

Snow Cyn State Park, climb down into the lava tubes (take a flashlight/headlamp) Climb petrified sand dunes.

Kolob Canyons area of Zion NP, is right on I-15, and a lot less tourists.
