I need to paint the exterior of the house and have a few quotes, but some use Dunn Edwards and others use Sherwin Williams paints. I live in Gilbert AZ, summers are hot.
What is the best paint type to have them use?

    It's a secret
Dunn Edwards is what I reccommend to clients in hot climates, they have multi-tier grade exterior paints so choose their highest grade line...for reference, Home Depot's highest Marquee line is like DunnEddy's mid-grade. Most important thing to help any paint coat last its longest is proper prepping and good priming though.

Try Posting this up in the Home Improvement thread. I think there's some painters that hang around there.

I use Dunn Edwards. Costco has 30 percent off gift cards right now. Every company has different grades of paint. Proper prepping and quality paint of any brand should produce good results. Lately in my neighborhood people have been using dark colors, they do not last more than 5 years.
