What is the use-able bed dimensions, (the height), with a hard folding tonneau? Need to buy storage totes that will live under tonneau.

The 55 galon home depot tote seems too high to fit. The cheap one for $15. Disappointing. Also lowes sells a commander XL tote with wheels for $40, that is also too tall.

Not sure what my max dimensions would be for the totes.

I don't have the tonneau yet, but will buy in a month. Buying totes now.

Listening in. I guesstimated where the top would be based on the fitment of the Bakflip G2 cover on my work truck, and it does not look like my Grizzly cooler will fit under there.
I'm not trying hijack OP's thread, but if someone measures, will they please include make and model of cover? I'd think Many fit different, it looks like the OEM cover fits over the bed rails, and the Bakflips, fit more in between the rails.

Is this factory tonneau? Otherwise dimensions will be different than others.

Why not take a tape measure and measure it....

Bedsides are just shy of 19" to the very top of the rail when I was measuring for a rack. This is really going to depend on the tonneau because some I've seen mount above the rail and some slightly below. If you get at 16" tote I can't see it being an issue with any design.

    1x 40 Commander Tote
Fits in the rest of the bed after the divider. I mainly use that tote for groceries/laundry.

Wife told me to get a full-size tool box for the bed which would of required a new cover. I figured I would save a few bucks and go this route. Everything fits nice and snug.

Thanks man! I never really measured anything and figured the price was worth a shot. When I slid the cooler right between the totes I just smiled. :D

not looking to hijack the thread but I'm putting a platform in my bed and want to put a couple storage boxes underneath it.

ideally 4-5ft long, <9 inches high, and something like 15 inches wide. Anyone seen anything like this?

I run action packers on top of my bed slide. They fit perfectly (within mm's) under my solid fold 2.0 cover.

Is that measurement with or without a bed mat?

5,000 mile road trip with the wifey, child and crap my mother in law wanted us to take back with us as we continued on our 2,800 miles once we left her house! Yes fire roads, back roads, National parks and nothing broke..

    Damn!
well maybe the picture frame she said we needed!

We used a rooftop bag under the tonneau
To hold the luggage! Had a yellow lid tote against the cab! The Pacific Northwest rain came down in buckets

There is no better tote than Action Packer for the price if you find them on sale

If you are looking to maximize capacity, Walmart sells a tote with a yellow lid, hinged handle, and wheels. With the lid on, it fits underneath a tonneau cover with about a mm to spare. You can fit three of these containers in the bed comfortably. I camp often and for smaller trips, I will bring two totes and place them in the bed long-ways with the handles facing me. I can easily reach under the tonneau, grab the tote handle, and pull it out to grab whatever I need. I believe these totes run between $20-$30. I have been really hard on these containers and have not had one fail yet. I have not come across another container that fills the bed-space as efficiently as this one. I will post pictures the next time I have them in the bed.

Take a tape measure and your imagination to Lowe's. You'll figure out something that works for you. Here's what I'm using.
