I should be good for the 4th. I can check with a few other folks. Been to Knoxville but I’d be down to explore the mondicino area too.

I've only been to knoxville once when it was dry. I was really paranoid about going solo and getting stuck in tiny mud patches, but with traction boards I dont think there's much a 2wd shouldn't be able to do

4th works for me. Here's an idea of how long it would take to get to either location.
We can also get into the Forest from a town more south so 1h 40mins is possible

You gotta cross 6 of these paths. This was mid Feb of this year

Dang, the few times I've been on that road I was able to plow through those crossing parts, but I didnt go when it was flooded. Probably only a few inches when I went. You can come in from the north side through historic upper(maybe lower) lake and avoid those.

We were on a trail and it was way to muddy , my taco ended slidding off a hillside.

Depending on how muddy mendocinos trails are, we can probably check them out.

That's awful, do you know what trail you were on? When I went we took a left at the staging area, went all the way down and back, then tried the right side path that goes to the picinic/creek area, hit a few mud puddles and didnt want to risk going any further, so we turned around.

True. by the time we get out there it should be doable. 10 forecast shows 1 day of rain(15th) and nothing but sun until the 26th

I went from the south side entrance. I don’t know the trail I was on, it was the 1st I’d been there. But I was about 30-40 min into the area.
I’d be down along with few of my friends to tag along
