All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
We can dig some holes in the sand and throw a rock a crab in it!

I am, bringin my family. Pops, niece and nephew. They will be chilling doing their thing at the Condo I rented. Will be a nice trip.
I will get this AluCab Shadow awning installed on the trailer. It would be sweet to have such a large awning, that sits that high up.

I have been beached on an oyster bed for half a day. That was no fun, and we had no awning. Just because someone owns a boat, does not make them a Captain.
Even worse, my buddy is paralyzed from the waist down...so even though we were close enough to the shore. He wasn’t gonna make it.

Eventually I got too tired to sit any longer, so I used Google Earth to navigate us thru the oyster beds.
If yo can believe it, there was enough detail from the Sat image I could see a clear path out. Just had to hit refresh every second to get the position of the boat.

Yikes, yea always important to bring plenty of water. Gotta know the tides too, East Coast is no joke 6-7ft tides can get you in trouble fast...always push shallow on incoming tide and out on outgoing...that's what the redfish are doing too.

You can also use google earth to see the channels when navigating back waters. Around savannah it seems all the images were taken at exactly the right time to see where the shallows are as well.

Sounds like it should be fun. Unfortunately we already have a trip down there planned for mid May.

They are definitely there! I was reeling in a small whiting on Amelia Island last Thursday and felt a big hit. This is all I had when I got it in...

Yup, they are around. Always have been. I grew up down there, right in that beach. I have been bumped by some sharks. Also dove head first into a sea turtle and about knocked myself out. They are so hidden beneath the surface.

If you wanna check out some sharks, give this a look. Pretty cool, who knew so many Tiger, White, and Bull sharks roamed the east coast.

link says the site is temp unavailable.

Last time I went shark fishing I was probably 14 or so. I was pretty young. I'll say that I caught a 5' black tip, but I'll only say that because it was my pole that it hit. I was nowhere near strong enough to reel it in and my uncle did all the work.
