Went out to my truck and noticed this...20190414_173731.jpgThe OEM topper only really kept maybe 75% of water out down here in S Florida. Now with this broken bit there is now a nice hole for more water to enter.

Toyota would say this is normal wear and tear.

I think that's a bummer . I guess I'll have to be extra careful with mine . Are you out of the 3 year warranty ?

How did it get broken? I've taken mine on and off several times being very careful on how I handled it and no issues so far.

Mines pretty much watertight. I'd epoxy that piece back on.

If you cannot purchase only the broken piece, Use 3M 4240 semi rigid plastic repair and 3M 94 primer.
Sand pieces with 150 grit sandpaper where they are to be joined, clean with isopropyl alcohol and wipe off with dry paper towel, then apply primer with q-tip to area to be joined, but do not wipe off primer, allow it to dry. Then mix 4240 and apply to pieces where they are to be mated together. Secure pieces in position on a flat surface, (make sure area which has 4240 does not touch flat surface, or it will bond to the flat surface and will be extremely difficult to remove) Allow to dry 24 hours without moving the pieces (although 4240 starts to set in 3 minutes, allowing to dry 24 hours is key to a good bond). Sand to shape with 150, and then finish sand with 320-400, prime, sand with 400 to remove any remaining sanding marks from previous step, and then finish with black trim paint.

I've got the same piece broken, but mine is missing. If you find out where to purchase one, let me know. Thanks!

I had that piece replaced under warranty. No need to epoxy it back together, you can just buy a new one. :notsure:
