Thanks for membership. Previous owner of two tundras, access and double (both first generation). Decided recently to go smaller and had my eye out for a good condition t100 or a first gen taco. Visited several local sellers before I found the one I wanted. 6k for a completely rebuilt access cab Taco. Guy who built it worked at Toyota for years as a senior tech (now works for government maintaining D.C. motorcade). He purchased this guy from original owner who brought it in with a spent motor and traded it for a new one. My guy bought the traded in model and spent six years building it as he wanted. Started with a complete engine build, did suspension, new wheels for 32 11.5 15 tires, and even got a new bed. When he had the engine out he began completely treating the frame for rust. Used toyota inner frame goop along with toyota outframe undercoating. Added some shocks, clutch parts and then sanded, primed, and painted the entire truck with Monstaliner. Truck interior looks maybe a year old. New radio/speakers and original split seat with well maintained rear. Very pleased. I have nine acres of rolling country in my back yard and a cabin on the very top of a mountain, definitely 4X4 territory which I use it for. Always wanted a small truck and I think I found one I will keep. Although will be switching out the tires for 31 10.5 15s Here are a couple of pics.

Welcome to TW! Great first post and a cool truck. Where are you located? For some reason I feel like I have seen the truck before.

Thanks for the welcome. In Fredericksburg, VA...so Casper from Culpeper may indeed have seen this truck. As for the tires, LOUD, and sling water at me if driving on a wet road but not raining with windows down. Never had mudders, so looking perhaps for a little peace and quiet from the road. Thinking of Michelin Defenders for the replacement. Maybe it helps to know I'm an old retired fart, not a teenager hitting the mud slopes for daring do.

Check out the Falken Wildpeaks at3w, great all around tire and cheaper than most and quiet too. Very popular tire with the TW community.

Damit I wish you'd have posted yesterday. We just had a little meet up in F'burg last night at buffalo Wild wings in Central Park. Most of us there were older guys so you'd have been right at home. It's a good group, not as active as we'd hoped because we are pretty damn spread out but a good group of guys. Your local thread is based right there in the Burg members range from King George all the way over here to C'pep and down to Charlottesville and over through Louisa.

Like I said good group @4x4cajun , @Salty_Dog , @Demo man and a few others live right there in F'burg with ya
