It is the attention to details that allow one vehicle to stand out above the rest. Very nice !!

Why not add an exhaust resonator? Something like Vibrant Ultra Quite Resonator

Is anyone having trouble finding all the part numbers listed? I cannot find numbers 4 (341032 - Coupler), or 7 (341033 - Bellows) on the listed websites. Can anyone who bought the parts individually help?

Could not locate or find these same part numbers, this would prevent someone from ordering the TRD cold air intake from parts alone instead of in a complete assembly.

Try McGeorge Toyota, I believe they have the best price. If you like oiled filters then it is a decent purchase. If you dislike that type of air filter then the price is too high.

That's more the reason I was trying to piece this together. I'd rather use the AFE dry filter with the TRD intake but didn't want to pay for the whole intake and not use the filter.

I installed the intake on Saturday, and it somehow changed the exhaust note. Is that normal for a CAI?

I added a TRD cai this morning. Took about 30 minutes. Very nice fitment, easy install and the sound is a lot more noticeable. It sounds great, the truck feels smoother in the lower rpm range, a little more throttle respond. I would like to say I got some ponies but I did get a lot smoother driveability. Waiting for my TRD exhaust to come in to the dealership in the morning.IMG_20190415_104653782.jpg

The rush of positive intake air pressure through the throttle blade and intake manifold can actually be much louder than the exhaust system at higher rpm. Enjoy your new and improved engine roar!!

Can anyone tell me if the outlet angle of the TRD upper air box and the stock version are similar? I'm thinking about piecing together an intake using the intake/flow accelerator, the TRD upper air box, an HPS silicone intake hose, and an AFE dry filter. The HPS silicone hose is made for the stock upper air box, however, and I'm curious if this combination will fit.

I would like to know this info myself, HPS sure boasts some high HP and torque numbers which I believe are exaggerated. Nonetheless, a straight tube should theoretically flow more CFM than a bellows.

I've submitted a request to HPS for some additional information regarding their intake hose. Can anyone on this forum who has the TRD air box measure the outer diameter of the outlet, where the bellows attach?
