I would take it apart and clean it just to be sure its all clean and ready to shoot worry free.

I would not put more than 500-1000 rounds on the stock firing pin retention pin. It will start to shown sigs of damage pretty quick. Replace it with one of these cajun gun werks pins. Theyre a little more durable. I inspect mine every 2k-3k rounds.

    https://cajungunworks.com/product/61100-tempered-spring-steel-firing-pin-retaining-pin/

As you can see this was after about 3k rounds. These are designed to fail so that the firing pin and more importantly the channel are not damaged. I changed mine at about 1000 rounds and noticed it was cracked and deformed in the middle. Glad i changed it when i did.

I highly recommend checking out this dudes channel, hes got alot of full diassembly videos. His is the manual safety version. The decocker version has a much more complex and difficult sear group to work with, but gis videos should be pretty good for familiarizimg yourself with everything else.

Won't hurt it to clean it. I'm sure it would be fine though, it's a CZ. I'm jealous BTW, those decocker models are hard to get.

I am a sig guy, but picked up a scorpion and really like it. I may get a CZ75, these things are very well built. Stay tuned (hopefully).

Perfect thanks guys. Pretty excited to get it. Hear pretty much anyone who has shot a cz just loves them. Waiting to shoot the sp01 and if I like it may pick up the p07 to carry.

Give it a quick clean and lube. Some guns come pretty dirty from the factory.
At the minimum run a bore snake through the barrel. Happy Shooting!

So I ended up getting the sp01 and also picking up an HK P30. Went shooting tonight and ran both guns. The first half of shooting I thought the hk was better. The second half I adjusted my grip a bit and the cz blew me away. Now my wife is annoyed because I told her I want a p-07.

Polished the trigger bar, trigger pin, sear pin, and hammer pin on my CZ P07. Also installed the CZ firing pin kit and trigger spring. The pistol in now an entirely different animal. I wanted to see what it was like without installing their upgraded hammer which I will do later down the road.

The DA is outstanding with the trigger bar polished. It's night and day. I think polishing the trigger bar is most significant mod you can do is you for this pistol, especially if you run in de-cocker configuration.

This pistol is so different from stock now. All the grittyness is gone. DA is effortless.

I completely agree, although that didnt stop me from getting the cajun pro kit and installing it. The DA is so smooth and light and crisp.

I had minimal experience shooting firearms and especially handguns before I got my CZ. I rented a Walther PPQ and a CZ75 at a range and loved them both but especially the CZ. My SP01 is a nice piece to shoot. Highly recommend them but they may cause you to question your SIG allegiance.

Thread revival. Gotta be more CZ magnificence out there.

I picked up a new piece today. CZ 75 D Compact PCR. Found used good condition for $450 at the LGS. The PCR stands for Police Czech Republic for whom this version was originally designed. Differences between this and the “regular” 75D Compact, alum alloy frame makes it lighter, decocker rather than safety, loaded chamber indicator button, different sights. Feels great in the hand, cannot wait to shoot it.

Surprisingly to me, this metal frame PCR is slightly lighter than the poly frame P-07

    P-07 polymer frame 27.7 oz
PCR alum alloy frame 27.5 oz
