What is the best suspension mods/tweeks for optimized handling for a street driven gen 1?

I have a 1995.5, which I am looking to use for light hauling & highway/mountain/countryroad driving. My previous rides have had excellent handing, having been set-up for mountain curves.

Whereas, that is what I am “used to” already ...
& whereas, that is an area for which the 2wd suspension is already geared to be (a well driving/handling truck), as opposed to the 4wd (set up to be optimzed for off-road) ...
I assume there were some design “compromises” made (as is normal) to provide a wide appeal. I want to tweek it back to handling, even at the cost of “ride” & “smoothness” of the suspension.

Leaving a stock ride height range (not really interested in a major lift or drop, but fine with a small drop), what shocks/springs/etc improve a Gen 1 Taco’s handling?

(My search mojo didn’t work, seeing lots on lifts & low-riding, but not on small handling tweeks)

Not seeing much help on here.
Here is what I am looking at:
    KYB Gas-A-Just
ADDCO 1 1/8 sway in front
Hellwig 7670 3/4 sway in rear

    Any advice on coil springs?
    How decent are the stocks?

Pair with BFG Advantage T/A Sport 225/70/16 on 19lb rims?

    Other performance mods, 2.4 mill
    LCE header
    Magnaflow grafted into stock tubing

Intake is supposed to be pretty good, is that correct?
