Hi folks, I'm new here and would just like to say well done on being a great recourse for tire, suspension, and maintenance suggestions. I put 236k trouble free miles on my last 2008 PreRunner with your help. When I say trouble free, mean that it was easy replacing the warped rotors, saggy rear springs, and repairing the over head display thanks to you all. I'll put in some pictures of my Toyota trucks over the years. I'm young so I'm only on number 3.

    My 1st was a 1989 4x4 purchased in 2006 for $600.

It had 350k miles and I rebuilt it inside and out. Stock everything but the LC Engineering long block and head. I changed the interior over to the SR5 package.

This is what it looked like for the majority of my time with it.

    The final years with it.

In 2011 I bought this 2008 PreRunner with 75k miles for $20k and ran it up to 235k miles. Due to me continuously getting stuck in the yard and on my hunting land it was time to let her go. Kept her completely stock with extremely detailed DIY maintenance schedules. It had a whole new suspension, zero leaks, and drove like the day I bought it. Sold it for $9,700 a few weeks back.

Then hell froze over. I was in the market for an old beater truck for hunting, and mentioned I was selling my beloved Taco to my step Brother. His dad offered to sell me his 2005 DCSB for $10k :) I bought it and ran. Not a bad upgrade for $300.
It's stock with leather interior, the Off-Road package, and came with a Snugtop, BedRug and Yakima racks. Mileage is 185k and it wears K02's.

My first day was a fun-filled day of shooting rifles with the family.

First weekend was an overnighter into some Nat'l Forest trails

No plans for crazy mods. Just the usual. A RTT, Bed Rack, and I've purchased a set of 4Runner 17" black/silver wheels for it. It's mostly for camping, hauling dirtbikes, hunting, and hauling materials/soil ect.

Thanks again everyone for sharing tips and tricks. Owning Toyotas has been a breeze!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I'm glad to still be a Tacoma owner, and I know for a fact that in 10 years or so I'll be buying another.
