Have any of you added fog lights to your late model Taco? My 2017 SR model did not come with them, and I am thinking of adding them. I want to use factory lights, wiring, switches, etc.
Any idea of costs and difficulty?

NEVERMIND! After contacting the parts manager at the Toyota dealership and being told that the price of just ONE of the lamp assemblies is over $200, plus wiring, plus new switch, plus labor, I'll carry a strong hand-held spot light. :spending: o_O

Thats bogus you can get 2 aftermarket OEM style lights and a switch for like 60-70 bucks. Dont trust a word that comes out of a dealers mouth.

Pretty much, right. While I expected a new, OEM part system to cost more than any number of aftermarket parts, but not this much! Most aftermarket parts are a comprimise (sic) at one level or another (i.e. sticking in an auxillery switch somewhere on the dash), I wanted a system that was designed to and functioned like the factory one. A system that I or a new driver could look up in the owner's manual and follow the steps and pictures. BUT...at these prices - my hopes are as fruitless as having an honorable political system in our American Congress. "Where's the whiskey?!!?"

How do you pull that switch out?? I bought some inexpensive fog lights and need to pull the dummy switch, but the dang thing seems impossible to remove (without scratching the heck out of everything around it).

    Thanks in advance!

McDonough Toyota took great care of me. I have an 18 SR that came without fogs. I ordered part # Part Number: 00016-35061. This kit includes the lights, wiring, relay, switch, etc. This is their version of a factory fog (though it comes in a Toyota package, it is not actually an OEM Toyota product - it is what they install at the dealership if you order your truck w/ fogs). It is a combination fog and DRL. They forgot to include the bezels with this kit when they originally sent it to me. They later sent me the bezels (at no additional charge), I think because they thought they should have been included with the kit. I think it was around $250 ~ $275 but don't remember the exact price. I can dig it out if you need it. Also, it was great to deal with them - I have since purchased a bunch of stuff from them because the dealers around here are thieves. One dealer wanted $75 for ONE freakin bezel!
