What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Still rinsing off mud from a trip 6 weeks ago. Luckily one of my guys at work took over for a bit haha

Test fitting today. Chopping up the plastic behind all this and making some custom mounts

Ditch lights. Already have the rago mounts waiting for me to install the lights on there

Installed some oem style fog lights

 

Installed a USB plug in the cubby. Running it from the SPOD. This is the second additional USB hookup I added, first was in the small rockers under the a/c knobs. Both are able to charge things without having the key in.

 

Manual labor? Or pressure washer? Detergent?

 

Looks like a catch can. Condenses high pressure gasses/vapors ventilated out of the crankcase. The catch can is in line between the valve cover (PCV) and the intake manifold after the air filter. Supposedly it saves your intake from getting gunked up with oils and whatnot. I have one and I get about 200mls every oil change.

 

That's what happens being old, not keeping up with all this. Sounds good to me. All tho I been driving Toyota trucks since the 70's and we really raised hell with them 22R's and never really had issues till after 250K of mudding and such. Welded spider gears, mudding holes and catching fish by hand cause they were at the top trying to find oxygen. Lots of playing.

 

I hear ya, it's not necessary but it does help, mostly with the forced induction motors that see much higher crank case pressures. Since I've installed it 50k miles ago my throttle body and intake manifold have been spotless.
