I wonder how great the schools scanners are, or if it’s even worth looking into

 

Find someone that's used it and ask for a how to, my school's wasn't great but after some work in solidworks it came out good

 

I don’t know what the cost or durability would be like haha

 

Bad with the extruded PLA or ABS haha. You usually have to seal prints in resin to make them worth a damn for anything but prototyping. But that doesn't mean you couldn't take your scan to a mill and make em in alum.

Absolutely true. I don't like all those crazy supports like on the sides of your ass when sitting. It's actually very uncomfortable, stupid work Ford mini box van has them. I have to remove my wallet everytime I sit because no room to move the wallet over. Annoying. I wonder why they changed, most vehicles, in general their seats like that?

And it can be setup to dim when you turn on your lights, Kenwood wouldnt do that.

 

I run a similar one to that in the cruiser, they're very nice

 

I want one that looks as oem as possible and I think this one is the ticket. I couldnt give a rats butt about the features, as I only care about the display. All I want is bluetooth capability and a proper dimmer setup.

I wanted one with no chrome at all (logos are fine) and no lighting where its not needed. The kenwoods are pretty good looking but that Sony checks off all my requirements.

I put a Pioneer in my sisters car. Never again. The setup on that thing took longer than the entire install. Had to keep going back to demo mode and starting over until we finally got it right.

 

Oh those uncomfy seat things(bolsters?) are features?? In a race car I get it to hold you in firmer, that's not comfier though. Oh maybe it's mandated safety requirements?

That looks identical. But I would consider buying from crutchfield. They throw in the Toyota specific wiring adapter, and dash pocket for free.

It changes color and goes through a big cycle of setting options and stuff

 

At full brightness too I bet. That would make me want to rip that thing out whilst driving.
