    Hey Everyone,

    My caliraised bed stiffeners have just been delivered. I will be installing soon. I know that I need to drill into the metal of the truck to mount them. Has anyone used a paint or sealer of some kind to apply to the bare metal after drilling to prevent potential rust? I did a quick search and didn't see anything pop up right away so apologies if I am beating a dead horse with this.

    Just dropped my stiffeners off for powder coating yesterday. I plan on using just some sort of rust preventive paint.

    Krylon has a rust prevention black paint as well. I hate Rustoleum paints. Never get a good outcome from it. It's almost like the paint and primer chemically reacts and causes pits. Also it takes forever to dry. Get Krylon and you will be happy. Super quick dry time as well.

    I’d use a small brush or a touch up paint brush to hit the backside of the hole also. Otherwise there is no point in painting the holes at all.

    Spray some of the spray paint in the cap and use a small brush, this way you do not get over spray
